Numbers 26:55-56

55 But the land shall be ^adivided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit. 56 Their inheritance shall be divided according to lot between the larger and the smaller.”

Numbers 27:1-7

The Daughters of Zelophehad

1 Then drew near the daughters of ^bZelophehad the son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, from the clans of Manasseh the son of Joseph. The names of his daughters were: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. 2 And they stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest and before the chiefs and all the congregation, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying, 3 “Our father ^cdied in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against the Lord ^din the company of Korah, but ^edied for his own sin. And he had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our father be taken away from his clan because he had no son? ^fGive to us a possession among our father’s brothers.”

5 Moses ^gbrought their case before the Lord. 6 And the Lord said to Moses, 7 “The daughters of Zelophehad ^hare right. ⁱYou shall give them possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers and transfer the inheritance of their father to them.

Numbers 33:54

54 ^jYou shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. ^kTo a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

Joshua 13:6

6 all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to ^lMisrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. I myself will drive ^mthem out from before the people of Israel. Only ⁿallot the land to Israel ^ofor an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
